The cases fill up before dawn. Conchas, orejas, cuernos, empanadas, polvorones and the rest, set out on trays and sold by the piece.

Alongside champurrado, the traditional warm masa drink, and juices from the counter.

Sold loose by the bag, or made up into a cellophane gift basket with ribbon when you need to bring something.

Tell them what it's for and they'll build it.

Birthdays, quinceaneras, baptisms, retirements. Vanilla, chocolate or marble coffee cake, in sizes from a small round up to a full sheet, decorated to whatever you have in mind.

"Great panadería/bakery. They have a big selection of pan dulce/ Mexican sweetbread. They also have tamales made daily. Must try! They have café de olla too. They also do big orders for a variety of tamales, sweetbread, coffee, and Champurrado, ahead of time for your events. They make cakes as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful."
